Course Overview

Having completed this course you will be able to undertake your job tasks in such a way that the risk of contracting a Repetitive Strain Injury is reduced significantly.

Repetitive Strain Injuries are, in this computer age, an increasing risk to employees and challenge to organisational health and safety. Any RSI is painful and, in some cases, highly debilitating. It can lead to an inability to do certain jobs, or even work at all. All of which means that this course could be vital in helping you to understand what causes RSI, and how to reduce or remove the risk factors from your workplace.

RSI can lead to long-term sickness, and the associated costs of staff cover and job training. Such absences can also rob organisations of staff with knowledge and skills that are key to its success. A further problem is the increasing possibility of legal action taken by staff against employers who have failed to take appropriate steps to remove or reduce the risk of contracting RSI.
