Course Overview
All managers or supervisors are responsible for safety in their offices. A key method of ensuring safety is to undertake risk assessments of work environments and activities, and this module outlines the process involved in doing so. On completion of the module, learners will be aware of why risk assessments are important, know the definitions of hazards and risks, and know the seven key steps to risk assessment. Issues covered include:
- hazard identification
- risk evaluation
- identification and implementation of control measures
- communication
- monitoring and review of risk assessments
This module is structured into a number of learning activities which are supported by graphics and animations. Throughout the course learners are presented with questions to which they are asked to type their answers and print, before revealing their model answer.
