On completing the module learners will be able to: -

  • Explain the regulatory framework for Housing Associations.
  • Be able to explain the role of the Tenants Services Authority (TSA) in regulating social housing providers.
  • Be able to explain the importance of 'Best Value' for social housing providers.

Please note: Both the TSA and the Audit Commission will cease to exist and new regulatory arrangements will come into force in 2012. Once the new arrangements have been confirmed the module will be updated.
